Two Lexington men have been arrested for sexually exploiting minors.

The state Attorney General’s Office announced the arrest of Michael Savona, 60, and Adam Asad Kelton, 22, on three total charges.

“Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which led them to Savona,” a release states, noting that Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department made the arrests in the unrelated cases. “Investigators state Savona distributed files of child sexual abuse material and Kelton distributed child sexual abuse material and disseminated obscene material.

Investigators with the Attorney General’s Office, which is also a member of the state task force, assisted with the investigations.

Savona, who was arrested March 28, is charged with one count of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The felony is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Kelton, who was arrested March 29, is charged with one count of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of disseminating, procuring or promoting obscenity.

The Attorney General’s Office will prosecute both cases.
