From the Publisher: ‘Our County’s Best’ Poll Nominations Complete — Final Voting Starts April 18

Posted

We didn’t know what to expect when it came to the reception we would receive when it came to Our County’s Best.
This is the first year that the Chronicle has conducted our reader poll intended to find out what our audience thinks are the best businesses, restaurants and more in Lexington County.
As we end the nominations phase, we’re overwhelmed by your response.
We received more than 17,900 nominations in more than 300 categories across the past four weeks.
Across the next few weeks, we’ll crunch the numbers and set the finalists in each category. Then voting will begin online April 18 and continue through May 15. Get ready to submit your votes — which you can do as often as daily in each category — at lexingtonchronicle.com/ourcounty’s best.
Winners will be announced in a special pull-out-and-save publication on July 7, which will be inserted into that week’s Chronicle and Wrapper. It will also be available at winner locations throughout our county.
We hope you vote — and vote and vote — and that this process gets you talking about your favorite Lexington County things with your friends and neighbors, and that it pushes you to further engage with and support the businesses and people who make our community what it is.
(Many of you who participated also signed up to receive more engagement from us — such as our weekly newsletter, containing a selection of notable headlines and paid-subscriber access to the e-edition of the latest Chronicle.
