Lexington's Cam Scott Surpasses 1,000 Career Points

For the second time this season, a Lexington High School player has reached 1,000 career points.

Sophomore Cam Scott scored 27 points in the 82-50 win over Silver Bluff Friday. He entered the non-region game needing just 14 points to reach the milestone.

Lexington (7-9) opens Region 5-5A play at home Tuesday against archrival River Bluff.

Irmo 65, Richland Northeast 37

Julian Kiett scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds as top-ranked Irmo opened Region 4-4A play with a victory.

Dylan Williams and Madden Collins each scored 14 points and Johnathan White added 11 to lead the Yellow Jackets (12-2, 1-0).

Irmo plays host to Dreher Tuesday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lexington 49, Silver Bluff 46

Lindsay Garner scored 19 points and Alexis Sexton added 13 to lead the second-ranked Lady Wildcats to the non-region win.
