Son, Mom, Uncle Arrested After Teenage Dispute in Swansea Leads to Car Chase, Shooting

Posted

A 19-year-old along with his mother and uncle were arrested after pursuing and shooting at a vehicle in Swansea Oct. 22.

“The shooting Saturday night was the result of a back-and-forth between two groups of teenagers that started near the three suspects’ homes on Bub Wise Road in Swansea,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon is quoted in a press release. “Based on what investigators have pieced together through interviews, about a dozen minors showed up at Fuller’s home to support a friend who was rumored to be fighting Fuller.”

According to the sheriff’s department, two people and three vehicles were struck by shotgun pellets, with the two victims suffering minor wounds.

Per the release, Jacob Edward Fuller and his 44-year-old uncle, Raymond Louis Wise, fired shots into the air shortly after the crowd showed up, causing them to leave.

According to provided arrest warrants, Wise pursued in a white Ford Expedition, calling the co-defendants to give them the fleeing vehicles’ location.

“Wise chased after the teens in his car, and Fuller jumped in a truck driven by his mother,” Koon is quoted in the release. “They pursued the teens for about 10-15 minutes throughout Swansea and eventually fired shots at them as they were driving.”

According to the warrants, Wise presented a revolver and shot into the vehicle with it. Fuller and his 43-year-old mother, Christal Renee Wise-Fuller, followed in pursuit in a white Ford F-150, with Fulmer firing a 12-gauge shotgun at the victims, striking them in the head and legs.

All three were arrested the night of the shooting in Swansea and are being held at the Lexington County Detention Center, having been denied bond.

All are charged with two counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and two counts of discharging a firearm into a vehicle, while Fuller and Wise are additionally charged with two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
