The Hitmen (concert)

The Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) presents another entry in the free Lexington Live concert series. The Hitmen perform popular, danceable covers from today’s hits to classic Top 40. Friday — Sept. 23

“Clue” (play)

Village Square Theatre (105 Caughman Ave.) continues its production of the dark comic “Clue,” based on the movie of the same name, Sept. 23-25, with 7:30 p.m. showtimes Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. matinees Saturday and Sunday. Irmo Okra Strut

It’s time once again for the annual Irmo Okra Strut at Irmo Community Park (7507 Eastview Dr.) The two-day festival features rides, activities, live music, food and drink. It’s free to attend. Friday night, the festival kicks off at 6 p.m. with performances from The Root Doctors and Cowboy Mouth, and it continues Saturday at 9 a.m. with the Irmo Okra Strut Parade, rides, more entertainment and a concert featuring OuterEgo and Corey Smith. Sunflower Weekend

Join Clinton Sease Farm (382 Olde Farm Rd.) for Sunflower Weekend. Enjoy an evening picking out fresh sunflowers (the farm provides flower bags with water) and photo ops galore. Rock 4 Recovery (concert)

Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) hosts the Rock 4 Recovery concert featuring Revisiting Creedence. The show is a fundraiser for the Lexington/Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council (LRADAC) Foundation, and it’s alcohol-free. The band performing at this year’s event celebrates and honors the musical legacy of Creedence Clearwater Revival, both accurately and authentically. Led by vocalist Dan McGuinness and guitarist Kurt Griffey, Revisiting Creedence plays the iconic catalog of CCR, with such hits as “Green River,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Down on The Corner,” “Born on The Bayou,” “Fortunate Son,” “Proud Mary” and “Susie Q.” Showtime for Rock 4 Recovery is 5:30 p.m., and tickets are $25. Zoofari

Support wildlife conservation by taking part in ZOOfari at the Riverbanks Zoo & Garden (500 Wildlife Pkwy.). Explore the zoo and Riverbanks Backstage, have food and drink, and bid on unusual silent and live auction selections. The annual fundraiser, hosted by the Riverbanks Society, helps support the care and conservation of the zoo’s more than 2,000 animals. Steel Hands Oktoberfest

Steel Hands Brewing (2359 Foreman St. in Cayce) hosts a jam-packed Oktoberfest event. Starting at noon when the taproom opens, Steel Hands will have its new Festbier on tap and German-style food specials, along with live music from the Mountain Top Polka Band, a grain toss and hoisting contest, a costume contest and an opportunity to drink straight from the brewery’s Oktoberfest cask. The Charles Page Trio (concert)

Lake Murray Bridal Show

Marty Stuart (concert)

ColaJazz Fest Gala

The S.C. State Museum (301 Gervais St. in Columbia) helps kick off the ColaJazz Fest on Sept. 24 with a gala event. Three different acts will perform in the lobby of the museum: The Organa Trio, Aimee Nolte and Carl Allen, and the music styles range from bluegrass to blues fusion to Cuban jazz. Jodeci (concert)

Platinum-selling R&B group Jodeci performs at the Township Auditorium (1703 Taylor St. in Columbia) on Sept. 24. Squonk (concert)

The innovative group Squonk performs its piece “Hand To Hand” at the Koger Center for the Arts (1051 Greene St. in Columbia) on Sept. 25. Per an event description, the piece “audience engagement by inviting members up to the stage to control the massive hands themselves. The level of audience participation that Squonk has ensures a unique concert performance that sticks with every attendee after the performance.” Squonk performs two shows at 2 and 6 p.m. (and one Sept. 26 at 6 p.m.), all of which are free to attend.
