Friday — March 24

Bull Bash
The South Congaree Rodeo (395 Oak St.) hosts the 2023 Bull Bash. It’s two days of rodeo-centric fun for the whole family, starting Friday. Bring the kids to see brave cowboys ride bucking bulls. The Bull Bash runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and tickets cost between $14 and $18. Visit southcongareechampionshiprodeo.com for more information.

Paul Dozier (concert)
Chayz Lounge (607 Meeting St. in West Columbia) and singer/guitarist Paul Dozier host “A Night Of Soul Jazz.” Dozier and his band will play hits and classics by George Benson, Norman Brown, The Jackson 5, Kem, Stevie Wonder, Sade, Will Downing and more. The Pinehill Ramblers (concert)
Head over to Bill’s Music Shop & Pickin’ Parlor (710 Meeting St. in West Columbia) for a performance by The Pinehill Ramblers. Enjoy an evening of bluegrass, country and gospel music. Showtime is 8 p.m. and admission is a $10 donation. Visit billsmusicshop.com for more information.

Saturday — March 25

Soiree on State
Cayce’s signature street party returns to State Street (from Poplar Avenue to Railroad Street) for another day of fun. There will be local artists, a free kids area with inflatable obstacle courses, face painting and a balloon artist, food vendors and live music from The Sam Edwards Jazz Trio, Prettier Than Matt, Mitchell Lee, and Tokyo Joe. Irmo Farmer’s Market
The Irmo Farmer’s Market returns to the Irmo Community Park (7507 Eastview Dr.). Enjoy local homemade food and other goodies from Irmo and the Irmo surrounding areas. The farmer’s market runs from 9 a.m. to noon and is free to attend. Visit townofirmosc.com for more information.

Annual Herb Festival
The Lexington County Museum (231 Fox St.) hosts the 11th annual It’s All About Herbs festival. There will be a plant sale with many varieties of herbs, herb and plant related vendors, food vendors, and free herb mini-demonstrations. Irmo Cherry Blossom Festival
Irmo Town Park (1249 Lexington Ave.) is the place to be for the annual Irmo Cherry Blossom Festival. This family-friendly festival features six Yoshino trees planted in 2001 in full bloom, plus picnicking, blossom viewing, plein air art, handcrafted artwork and much more. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free to attend. Visit townofirmosc.com for more information.

“Death By Design” (play)
The Chapin Theatre Company (830 Columbia Ave.) presents its first show at its new home: “It’s 1932 and playwright Edward Bennett (played by Bill Arvay) and actress Sorel (Zsuza Manna) withdraw to their English country home after a particularly disastrous evening. Unexpected guests arrive, much to the dismay of the couple and staff, and a murder takes place. Housekeeper Bridget (Gina Percival), thrilled to be able to solve a real crime instead of just reading about them in novels, is determined to solve the mystery.” The production runs through April 2. Spring Fling
Join the Lexington Two Innovation Center (509 Bulldog Blvd. in Cayce) for a Spring Fling. There will be arts and crafts vendors, portraits with live bunnies and more at this event, which is hosted by Dream Makers of GFWC-SC. Tinsel Town Market
The Tinsel Town Market returns to Lake Murray Presbyterian Church (2721 Dutch Fork Rd. in Chapin) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature more than 90 local crafters and vendors selling goods including woodwork, candles, homemade crafts, iron work, jewelry, clothing, quilts, homemade goodies, books and more. Sunday — March 26

Boss of the Toss
Join Steel Hands Brewing (2350 Foreman St. in Cayce) for Boss of the Toss, a cornhole tournament that benefits Habitat For Humanity. Thursday — March 30

“Studio 54 Ballet”
The Columbia City Ballet and the Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College (7300 College St.) present “Studio 54 Ballet,” a performance dedicated to the hot New York nightspot of the late-’70s: “Columbia City Ballet’s multi-media production will showcase the works of multiple choreographers and bring to life some of the most iconic figures who frequented Midtown Manhattan. Don’t miss this extraordinary production conceived by William Starrett, executive and artistic director of Columbia City Ballet.” Showtime is 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $40. Palmetto Sportsman’s Classic
The Palmetto Sportsman’s Classic comes to the the State Fair Grounds (1200 Rosewood Dr. in Columbia). There will be more than 350 vendors on site with the latest in hunting and fishing equipment. The event goes from March 24 to 26. Visit psclassic.com for more information.

Columbia Brick Con
If you or your kids are fans of Legos, you’ll want to head to The Oaks Venue (901 Brookwood Dr. in Columbia) on March 25 for Columbia Brick Con 2023. There will be vendors and builders on site showing off their creations from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Brick Con is free to attend. Visit scbricks.com for more information.

Yamato: The Drummers Of Japan (concert)
The Newberry Opera House (1201 McKibben St.) presents Yamato: The Drummers Of Japan on March 25. Yamato was founded in Japan’s Nara Prefecture in 1993. The troupe has given more than 4,000 performances in 54 countries. Every year, Yamato tours the world for six to 10 months, creating and presenting original compositions. The Parker Quartet (concert)
On March 25, The Parker Quartet will celebrate 10 years of residencies at the University of South Carolina with a performance at the school’s Johnson Performance Hall (1014 Greene St. in Columbia). The performance will feature three Beethoven pieces: “Quartet in D Major, Op. 18, No. 3,” “Grosse Fuge, Op. 133” and “Quartet in F Major, Op. 59, No. 1.” This event is free to attend (registration is required) and begins at 5:30 p.m. Visit sc.edu to register.

5K Winery Run
Enoree River Winery (1650 Dusty Rd. in November) hosts a special edition of its Sunday Unpack The Porch series on March 26. Instead of musical entertainment, the winery is hosting a 5K Winery Run in support of The William C. Blackmon Athletic Memorial Foundation. There will also be a food truck from Sarah’s Rockin’ Kitchen on site. The run begins at 10 a.m., and the cost is a $30 donation. Visit runsignup.com for more information.
