Thomas Alonzo Grant III
Thomas ‘Thommie’ ‘Tee’ Alonzo Grant III departed this world on Sept. 11, 2022. He was 19.
He was born Nov. 21, 2002, at the Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, S.C. The son of Thomas A. Grant Jr. and Tonya Richardson, Tee attended elementary school first at Sandel Elementary and then graduated from A.C. Moore Elementary School.
Tee went on to attend Hand Middle School and finished his high school education at Dreher High School. During Tee’s time at both schools, he was a member of the school band.
Known for his love of cooking and fashion, Tee was a bright light for everyone around him. His ability to make people smile with his bubbling personality made him loved by his family and friends.
Tee is survived by his parents, his younger sister Taliyah Richardson, his grandparents Thomas Grant Sr. and Susie J. Grant, seven aunts, six uncles, his three very special cousins Aliyah Richardson, Chris Ash Jr. and Jayla Ash, and numerous cousins and friends.
He was also cherished by other close friends Toshiba and her son Isaiah Steed and the Scott family.
He is preceded in death by his aunt Amanda Richardson and grandparents Alphonso (Norma Jean) Richardson.
Services will take place Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. at Leevy's Funeral Home Chapel at 1831 Taylor St. in Columbia. The burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Hartsville.
