Units respond to apartment fire in West Columbia
Several firefighting crews responded to a fire in the 100 Block of Riverbend Drive, in West Columbia, Friday morning.
According to a Lexington County report, an apartment caught on fire.
Lexington County Fire Services, West Columbia Fire Department, Cayce Fire Department, Irmo Fire District, and Lexington County EMS were on scene.
The fire started in one unit and extended upstairs. The fire was under control within 20 minutes. No injuries were reported. Two people were displaced. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
