A man died in a shooting Nov. 14 in West Columbia.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the victim the next day as city resident Devonte Jerone Craft, 24, who was “shot multiple times in the upper and lower body and died at the scene from the injuries he sustained” during an incident at the Riverbank Retreat Apartments on Comanchee Trail.

The shooting occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m., the coroner’s office said on Facebook.

West Columbia Police reported responding to a death investigation at the complex at 2:45 p.m., requesting that anyone with information should contact the department at (803) 794-0721 or submit tips via CrimeStoppers of the Midlands at crimesc.com or the P3 tips app.

No arrest has been announced associated with the incident.

The coroner’s office notes that it and West Columbia Police continue to investigate.
