Here's good news on the employment front:

Despite the fact that the U.S.
Lexington County unemployment fell from 4.7% in August to 3.3% in September.
That means 96.7% of those able to work were employed.
Richland County's fell from 6.9% to 4.9%.
Initial SC unemployment claims dropped by 218 last week from the week before.
The 4,884 claims were down from 5,102, representing the 2nd straight week of fewer claims.
South Carolina's employment rate climbed from July to August.
