A Lexington resident has been arrested for criminal solicitation of a minor alongside other related charges.
Jacob Richardson Mabry, 20, was arrested Jan. 19 and faces two counts of criminal solicitation of a minor and one count of attempted dissemination of obscene material to a person under 18, according to a press release from the state Attorney General’s Office.
All charges are felony offenses punishable by up to 10 years per charge.
The arrest was made by investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Lexington Police Department. Investigators with the Attorney General Office assisted in the investigation.
“Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which led them to Mabry,” the release states. “Investigators state Mabry solicited a person he believed to be a minor for sex and sent sexually explicit images to a person he believed to be a minor.”
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.
