Posted

One of Meadow Glen Middle’s assistant principals has received a title upgrade.

On Jan. 23, the Lexington County School District 1 Board of Trustees voted to hire Brian Lim as the school’s new principal. Lim is set to leave his position of assistant principal behind on July 1.

According to a press release, Lim is a dedicated leader who often works to instill a collective leadership among staff, students and teachers alike.

Lim’s career in education has taken place entirely within Lexington 1, having started at River Bluff High, where he taught math, served as the assistant athletic director and coached both the men’s and women’s tennis teams.

He joined the Meadow Glen staff in July 2021 when he accepted an assistant principal position.

Lim has earned himself a bachelor’s in mathematics, a master’s in secondary mathematics and  a master’s in educational administration, all from the University of South Carolina. Additionally, Lim has certifications as a mathematics teacher and secondary principal.

On top of his educational endeavors, Lim is also a member of the Palmetto State Teachers’ Association, South Carolina Association of School Administrators, and the South Carolina Athletics Coaches Association.
