On Saturday, Feb. 20, members of the 11th Circuit Solicitor's Office and the Lexington County Sheriff's Department joined supporters of AvasVoiceForever at the 2nd Annual "Walk the Dam for Fitness" event.
AvasVoiceForever.org is a 501(c)(3) charity organization developed in memory of Alexis Victoria Azarigian ("AVA"), 25, a victim of violent crime who was murdered in Lexington County in 2019.
In September of 2020, the person responsible for Alexis' death was convicted and sentenced for her murder. Family and friends of Alexis, including her parents, Vicki and Gary Azarigian, have continued their commitment to honor her memory.
Walk the Dam for Fitness included tying purple ribbons on the Lake Murray Dam fence while also recognizing Alexis' prior work as a personal fitness trainer.
The mission of AvasVoiceForever.org is to carry out acts of kindness in furtherance of respect, goodwill, and love. As an organ donor, Alexis initiated the original act of kindness by allowing her heart, liver, kidneys, and other organs to be donated to save and improve the lives of others. #AvasVoiceForever #AlexisVictoriaAzarigian
