Trinity Dasani Jones, 22, of Columbia, has been identified by Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher as the individual who died in a two-vehicle accident on June 5.

According to a press release, the crash occurred on South Lake Drive and the I-20 overpass in the Lexington area. Jones was the passenger in a vehicle that exited I-20, crossed the median and struck another vehicle head-on as it traveled westbound on South Lake Drive.

Jones, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead from her injuries.

The drivers of both vehicles were also taken to a hospital with injuries that were non-life-threatening.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Town of Lexington Police Department will continue to investigate the incident.
