1 dead after single-vehicle accident on Westwoods Drive in Chapin

Christopher Lee Morris, 37, of Little Mountain, has been identified as the person who died in a single-vehicle accident in the Chapin area on Jan. 31.

According to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, Morris was driving westbound on Westwoods Drive when he traveled off the left side of the roadway. He then struck an embankment and overturned.

Morris was wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, the press release said.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating the incident.
