Cayce announces emergency sewer line repair

The city of Cayce is conducting a sewer line repair at the intersection of 12th Street and Lafayette (“L”) Avenue. Work was scheduled to begin Monday, Oct. 12, and was estimated to last about two weeks.

The repair will be from manhole to manhole within the roadway across 12th Street. Traffic will remain open during the work, and the crew members will be on-site to provide traffic control measures.

Traffic flow may be down to one lane per direction at times. Cayce Utilities and the Cayce Police Department are advising drivers to proceed with caution and detour around this block when possible. 

The work will be performed during the day, outside of peak morning and afternoon times. Residents will continue to have access to their driveways throughout the work schedule.
