Charter Institute Schools improve scores on 2024 report cards

Charter Institute Schools have shown growth in their 2023-2024 report cards. The data represents each school’s performance from the previous school year.

67.9% of Institute schools outperformed their local districts. Gray Collegiate Academy in Lexington County also achieved a 100% graduation rate.

The school also ranked in the top 10% statewide in ELA and mathematics based on their S.C. Ready and EOC scores from the spring.

“From Title I schools in rural South Carolina, to statewide virtual schools that servestudents in nearly every zip code, Institute schools are seeing growth across the board,”Institute Superintendent Cameron Runyan said in the press release. “Charter schools areconstantly evolving, changing, and improving-that’s the nature of the innovative spiritupon which they were founded. This data reinforces the progress we’ve made andprovides a clear roadmap for the future.”
