Over 500 Dominion Energy customers in Batesburg-Leesville are eligible for the Neighborhood Energy Efficiency Program (NEEP), offering free home energy efficiency assessments and improvements to income-eligible customers.
The available products include LED light bulbs, faucet aerators and low-flow shower heads, electric water heater wraps and pipe insulation, advanced smart power strips, door sweeps and weatherstripping for doors and windows, HVAC air filter replacement and digital wall thermometers.
“The Neighborhood Energy Efficiency Program offers tools and education that can make a real difference in customers’ daily energy usage,” said program manager Derek McDaniel in the press release. “Our goal is to help customers more efficiently conserve energy and reduce their home utility bills.”
Throughout the month of March, customers were sent information on how to participate in the program. Installations began in April and will continue through the month of May.
NEEP, launched in 2013, has helped numerous customers reduce electricity usage and provide energy education.
