Posted

An annual fundraiser will take place on March 22 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Lexington County Museum located at 231 Fox St. in Lexington. This year's fundraiser will focus on the Battle of Lexington and Concord in Massachusetts.

Tickets cost $60 if purchased in advance and $65 at the door. These tickets include all-you-can-eat and drink, and a silent auction will be held. Sponsorships are also available ranging from $150 to $2,500 (all tax-deductible) with all funds going towards upgrading the museum’s security and enhancement of other exhibits.

Tickets can be purchased at lexingtoncountymuseum.org/get-involved/ or for more information, call 803-359-8369.

The Friends have raised over $350,000 to support the museum's projects including the Pigeon House, the Daniel Koon House, John Fox House breezeways, the Rockaway Carriage, the Leaphart-Harman House and exhibit cases.

The Lexington County Museum, founded in 1970, focuses on Lexington County from the colonial period to the Civil War. It includes locally-made artifacts such as textiles, weapons and pottery.
