The Midlands Technical College Foundation raised more than $150,000 at the sixth annual MTC Golf Classic held Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Cobblestone Golf Club in Blythewood.
Over the past six years, the tournament has raised more than $700,000 to fund scholarships for students, including active-duty military service members, veterans and their families.
The premier sponsors of the 2026 Golf Classic were Blanchard Cat and Hood Construction, while 42 other businesses and companies provided additional support and sponsorship of the event.
“We are grateful to our sponsors and participants for their generous support of the MTC Golf Classic,” said Tom Schlictman, associate vice president of philanthropy for MTC and CEO of the MTC Foundation. “Their commitment helps provide scholarships that open doors for students and strengthen the Midlands workforce.”
In the 2025-26 fiscal year, the MTC Foundation provided over $938,000 in student support, with an endowment totaling $24 million in assets.
