Filing for the following seats representing part of or the entirety of Lexington County opened on March 16 and will close at noon on March 30. The statewide primaries are on June 9, 2026. The statewide general election is on Nov. 3, 2026.
U.S. House of Representatives, District 2
Republican Joe Wilson currently holds the U.S. House of Representatives, District 2 seat, which represents Lexington and Aiken counties, along with parts of Richland and Orangeburg counties. Wilson has filed to run again. The following have also filed to run for this seat, according to South Carolina Election Commission data gathered on March 24: Republican Hamp Redmond, Democrat David Robinson II and Democrat Daniel J. Shrief.
