The South Carolina Department of Transportation and the Central Midlands Council of Governments have requested public input on how to improve the U.S. 76/176 corridor.
Those who live or work in Columbia, Irmo, Chapin or Little Mountain are encouraged to make their voices heard at upcoming meetings.
On Monday, May 19, a public information meeting will take place for those who are in the Irmo/Ballentine area. The meeting is from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ballentine Community Center, located at 1009 Bickley Rd. in Irmo.
The second public information meeting will take place on Thursday, May 22, for those located in the Chapin/Little Mountain area. The meeting begins at noon and ends at 2 p.m. at Chapin Town Hall, located at 157 N. Columbia Ct. in Chapin.
