Kai Lin Earl Maroney, 44, of Leesville, has been identified by Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher as the man who died after a single-vehicle accident in Lexington County on Dec. 27. 

At about 11:24 p.m. on Saturday, Maroney was driving east on Fairview Road in Leesville when he traveled off the left side of the road and hit a tree, according to a release from the coroner. 

He was wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
