Lexington County School District Two is offering free breakfast and lunch this summer to kids and teens 18 years old and younger, through a federally funded child nutrition program.
Each child can receive one breakfast and one lunch per day, but must choose only one of the two options below.
Option one: eat at school
Kids can eat breakfast and lunch on site at select Lexington Two schools. Meals are served Mondays through Thursdays, and kids must stay and eat the food at the school.
Airport High School
Where: 1315 Boston Ave., West Columbia
When: Mondays - Thursdays, June 2 - July 24 (closed June 30 - July 4)
Meals: Breakfast, 7:15 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.; lunch, 10:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Brookland-Cayce High School
Where: 1300 State St., Cayce
When: Mondays - Thursdays, June 2 - July 24 (closed June 30 - July 4)
Meals: Breakfast, 8 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.; lunch, 11 a.m. - noon
Cayce Elementary School (Tuesdays - Thursdays, June 10 - 13)
Where: 515 Bulldog Blvd., Cayce
When: Tuesdays - Thursdays, June 10 - July 13 (closed June 30 - July 4)
Meals: Breakfast, 8:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.; lunch, 11 a.m. - noon
Cayce Elementary School (Mondays - Thursdays, July 14 - 24)
Where: 515 Bulldog Blvd., Cayce
When: Mondays - Thursdays, July 14 - 24
Meals: Breakfast, 8 a.m. - 9 a.m.; lunch, 11 a.m. - noon
Riverbank Elementary
Where: 160 Cougar Dr., West Columbia
When: Mondays - Thursdays, June 9 - July 9 (closed June 30 - July 4)
Meals: Breakfast, 7:45 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.; lunch, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Option Two: Grab and go meal pickup
Parents can pick up take-home meal bundles twice a week for kids 18 and under. Meals are picked up curbside on Mondays and Thursdays at:
Pine Ridge Middle School
Where: 735 Pine Ridge Dr., West Columbia
When: 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Monday and Thursday (June 2 - July 28)
Meals: Three breakfasts and three lunches given each Monday; four breakfasts and four lunches given each Thursday
Note: Weekly registration is encouraged for meal planning purposes at www.paypams.com
Children do not need to be present at pickup and do not have to attend Pine Ridge Middle School. Meals are first-come, first-served, and weekly sign-up is recommended at www.paypams.com
Please keep in mind that children can only participate in one option, not both.
Also, kids going to camps at Lexington Two schools can now take meals home for the days they’re not in camp. Families must sign up in advance to receive these take-home meal bundles.
