Lexington County’s Palmetto Cards hosted its third trading card show last weekend, bringing enthusiasts from all over the country to the Midlands.

Hundreds of vendors showcased their collections and featured a wide range of items, including sports cards, Pokémon cards, TV show cards, signed memorabilia, old magazines and much more.

Attendees were buying, selling and trading from their own collections, looking for those missing pieces. There were plenty of items for everyone, with costs ranging from 25 cents to a few thousand dollars.

There were also a few notable athletes signing autographs during the event. Former Braves Star Dale Murphy headlined Saturday’s signings, while NFL and MLB player Bo Jackson was there Sunday.

Irmo’s own Donovan Murph was there as well, signing autographs as a member of the University of South Carolina football team.

The show wrapped up this past Sunday, and organizers at Palmetto Cards will shift focus to the next event. While the crew did two shows in 2024, a December 2025 show is still to be determined as the store weighs the benefit of multiple events a year.
