Posted

Timothy Lee Morton, 48, of Lexington, has been identified by Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher as the man who died in a single-vehicle accident in the Lexington area on March 15.

At about 2:50 a.m., Morton was driving south on Robbie Road, not far from the Red Bank area, when he drove off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

“Mr. Morton, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead,” according to a release from the coroner.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
