Lexington man arrested in child sexual exploitation case

James Devan Martin, 34, of Lexington, was arrested on June 26 in connection to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators state Martin solicited and engaged in criminal sexual conduct with a minor and sent sexually explicit images. 

Martin is charged with one count of criminal solicitation of a minor, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years in prison; one count of criminal sexual conduct with a minor; and one count of dissemination of obscene material to a person under the age of 18, a felony offense punishable up to 10 years in prison.

According to the press release, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators along with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department made the arrest.

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s office.
