Henry A. Meetze House was built in 1855

Located at 723 South Lake Dr. in Lexington, the 1855 Henry A. Meetze House, according to the National Register of Historic Places Inventory, was built by Henry Meetze, a Lexington area attorney, businessman and civic leader, who lived from 1820 to 1904.

Meetze held seats representing Lexington County in the South Carolina House of Representatives and in the South Carolina Senate at different times.

This home was one of the homes a part of the historic homes tour organized by Friends of the Lexington County Museum on April 25.
