Mission Lexington helps Lexington family after house fire

Posted

Mission Lexington provided assistance to a Lexington County single mother and her four children who lost their home in a fire.

The Red Cross and Lexington School District One referred the family to Mission Lexington to receive help.

The Mission Lexington supports both individuals and families in predicaments throughout the Lexington region.

Mission Lexington has been able to supply the family with fundamental food and clothing and will continue to support by offering beds, small appliances (microwave, toaster oven, towels and more) and a couch to the family until they secure a new home.

Mission Lexington is additionally covering the first month’s rent for the family.

“We are grateful to be able to offer resources and compassion to this family during such a difficult time,” Alesia Dunham, director of social services at Mission Lexington, said in the press release.
