River Bluff's baseball team kept its season alive with a game two win against Mauldin Tuesday night.
The Gators defeated the 2-0 after scoring runs in the fourth and fifth innings. The win evened the series at one game apiece, with the deciding game being played Thursday night at Mauldin.
Ashley Powell hit a triple in the fourth inning to score a runner and get River Bluff on the board. Powell finished the game 3-3 from the plate.
Walker Godwin hit an RBI single in the fifth inning, allowing Caleb Renwrick to cross home.
Dalton Corley started on the mound and pitched 6.2 innings. He recorded eight strikeouts while allowing just three hits and five walks.
Brooks Peloso came in for the final out after Mauldin loaded the bases in the top of the seventh inning. He was awarded a save after the Mauldin hitter lined out, ending the game.
Thursday's game will be win-or-go-home for both teams. The winner will advance to the next round and play a rested Dorman team.
