For the second year, the Humane Society of South Carolina raised funds to support its efforts caring for animals in the state with its Woofstock event at the Icehouse Amphitheater in Lexington. The Oct. 29 celebration featured live music from frequently seen local band The Killer Beez, along with food trucks and desert vendors, beer and wine, and a doggie costume contest MC’d by Tyler Ryan, weather anchor and morning co-host for ABC Columbia. During that contest, Tyler told the crowd that at least seven dogs were adopted by families attending the event.
