A recount for the Lexington County School District One board race seat will take place on Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. due to the less than 1% between two candidates.
The two candidates are Mike Anderson and Dana Homesley.
According to the County of Lexington, Anderson received 11.09% of the vote, while Homesley received 10.15%.
Mike Anderson, Mckenzie Flashnick, Kathy Henson, Dana Homesley, Nicholas C. Pizzuti, Mariel Taylor, David P. Terry, Scott Whetstone and Shelton Yonce all ran for District One trustee positions. Henson won 15.23%, Flashnick won 12.16% and Pizzuti won 11.47%.
The winner of the recount will take the fourth open seat on the school board.
