The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged Jack Randolph Ward Jr., 43, with 22 counts of forgery on Dec. 10, 2024.
Denisse Clavijo, 25, was also charged with criminal conspiracy on Dec. 17.
According to arrest warrants, Ward provided vehicle certifications with fake vehicle identification numbers. Clavijo, an employee at the time at the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles in Lexington, processed the title applications in exchange for payments.
Ward reportedly paid Clavijo a total of $340 through six separate transactions via CashApp.
Both Wade and Clavijo are being held at the Lexington County Detention Center. The case will be prosecuted by the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
