A Savage Beer & Chocolate Pairing
Savage Craft Ale Works (430 Center St.) celebrates Valentine’s Day with this unique event. For “A Savage Beer & Chocolate Pairing,” the brewery has teamed up with local chocolate experts to create the ultimate pairing experience: handcrafted chocolates matched with award-winning beers, including Vale with a s’mores truffle, Canopy Surfer with a cinnamon truffle, Galaxy Banger with an orange truffle, and more. The Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) invites you to spice up your Sunday at the 11th Annual Lexington County Chili Cookoff. Sample different chili recipes from more than 25 cook teams across the community, cool off with a cold beer or soda, and enjoy live music throughout the day. This event is presented by the Old Mill Brewpub and the Lexington County Blowfish and runs from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra (concert)

The SC State Museum (301 Gervais St.) invites you to its digital dome planetarium experience, “Áróra!” on Friday, Feb. 14. This immersive cinematic journey takes guests across remote Icelandic landscapes and into space to explore the secrets of the mystical Northern Lights and how these stunning displays of colors have been seen on other planets and moons. “Áróra!” runs throughout the day, and admission costs between $15 and $18.
