Friday Dinner Cruise

The Spirit of Lake Murray (docked at 216 Shadowood Dr.) hosts a Friday night dinner cruise around Lake Murray. The boat will open at 5:30 p.m., and the cruise will depart promptly at 6:30 p.m. and return at 8:30 p.m. Enjoy open seating and a full bar, with both indoor and outdoor seating (seating is first come, first served). Murders & Mysteries Walking Tour

The town of Irmo and Irmo Town Park (1227 Lexington Ave.) invite you to learn about the darker side of our area on the Murders & Mysteries Walking Tour. Learn about the murders, mysteries, duels and lynchings that occurred in Irmo and the Dutch Fork on a guided, low-stress walk through downtown Irmo. The tour begins at 8 p.m., and this event is free to attend. Because of the mature subject matter, attendees must be 18 or over or have parental permission to attend. Creekwater Collective (concert)

Bill’s Music Shop & Pickin’ Parlor hosts its regular Friday night concert with a performance by the Creekwater Collective. The Four Phantoms (concert)

The Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College (7300 College Blvd.) invites you to enjoy a rare opportunity. MONDAY, FEB. 24

Forever Young (Adult) Book Club

The Lexington Main Library (5440 Augusta Rd.) invites people ages 18 and up to its Monday night Forever Young (Adult) Book Club meeting. “Young adult books tackle diverse themes and topics that are relatable no matter the age—friendship, identity, discrimination, fear, politics, family and more. If you love working with clay, or you’re just interested in checking out local art, the Newberry Arts Center (1200 Main St.) has just the event. On Friday, Feb. 21, it hosts the South Carolina Clay Conference and Pottery Sale. This once-a-year sale has become one of the largest gatherings of potters and clay artists in the state, featuring plenty of pottery and sculpture by local artists. Head over to the SC State Fairgrounds (1200 Rosewood Dr.) on Friday, Feb. 21, for the return of the Columbia Boat Show. The SC State Museum (301 Gervais St.) invites you to its digital dome planetarium experience, Áróra! on Friday, Feb. 21.
