Wild Lights
The Riverbanks Zoo & Garden (500 Wildlife Pkwy.) invites you and the kids to take a post-holiday spin through their Wild Lights display. From polar bears to flamingos, explore an illuminated wildlife safari featuring more than 60 brand-new larger-than-life lantern displays inspired by nature. And along the way, discover engaging interactive displays and fun photo opportunities. Wild Lights runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is $20.99 for adults ages 13 and up ($10.99 for members) and $15.99 for children ($7.99 for members). Annie Jr. (musical)
The Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College (7300 College Blvd.) and the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission present Annie Jr. This familiar tale of plucky orphan Annie, Daddy Warbucks and the evil Miss Hannigan is based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, with a book and score by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin. Band or for her portrayal of Alice in Tyler Perry’s BET Plus series Bruh. In this show, she will honor the late gospel vocalist Phyllis Hyman with a heartfelt performance featuring a blend of Phyllis’s timeless songs and her own material. Join a volunteer park naturalist for a guided hike on the park’s boardwalk trail to learn about the array of flora and fauna that calls Congaree National Park home. All participants must have a reservation in order to join the guided hike. This free hike is limited to a maximum of 25 participants, starts at 9:30 a.m. and runs for approximately 2 hours.
