FRIDAY, SEPT. 12  

Love Lies (play)
Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College (7300 College Blvd.) and WOW Studio One present “Love Lies.” The play is a romance thriller that follows doomed lovers Camron and Chelsea, now separated by silence and secrets. When Camron comes to his senses and tries to get Chelsea back, he is faced with an agonizing choice. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $40. Visit harbisontheatre.org for more information.

Rocketman (concert)
The Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) gives you some Friday night nostalgia courtesy of Rocketman: A Tribute to Sir Elton John. The emphasis is on the word “tribute,” because the band, aka local heroes Tokyo Joe, go for full authenticity, bringing costumes and lighting to the fore to play hits like “Crocodile Rock,” “Daniel,” “Candle In The Wind” and many more. Brandon Oakes (concert)

SATURDAY, SEPT. 13

Pups N’ Pints
Steel Hands Brewing (2350 Foreman St.) hosts an adorable Saturday event. Steel Hands has teamed up with Columbia Animal Services and Animal Mission of the Midlands for a fun pup adoption drive and fundraiser called Pups N’ Pints. Enjoy Steel Hands’ famous local brews while you look for a new fur baby to adopt. Adoption fees are waived for all animals at the event. All animals come spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please come prepared with a leash and collar! This event runs from noon to 3 p.m. and is free to attend. Cash donations are accepted for Animal Mission of the Midlands. LeTron Brantley & Friends (concert)
Chayz Lounge (607 Meeting St.) and popular local saxophonist and bandleader LeTron Brantley invite you to enjoy “The Soul Jazz Experience.” Expect plenty of hits and classics by Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Natalie Cole, Ronnie Laws and more. The McKoy Brothers (concert)

Midlands Fall Arts & Crafts Market
The S.C. State Farmer’s Market (3483 Charleston Hwy.) hosts the Midlands Fall Arts & Crafts Market. This pet-friendly, family-friendly, free event features over 150 vendors, crafters and local businesses from all over the Midlands. Echoes of Chaos: The Woodstock ’99 Revival (concert)
Historic Cayce Speedway (2001 Charleston Hwy.) and the Red NOT Chili Peppers tribute band host a throwback to the chaotic nu-metal lineup of Woodstock ’99. This 12-band festival features tributes to Limp Bizkit, Rage Against The Machine, Godsmack, Bush, Metallica and more. Civil Remedy (concert)

The Nashville rockers The Brook & The Bluff perform at The Senate (1022 Senate St.) on Sunday, Sept. 14.
