Spring Fling at Wingard’s Market
On Friday and Saturday, at Wingard’s Market in Lexington, there is the Spring Fling event from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. According to the event listing, there will be 25% off all plants, excluding citrus plants, weeks and David Austin roses. On Friday, The Coffee Truck will be at the event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Saturday, Hometown Hotdogs will be there from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first 100 customers who spend $100 or more will receive a free spring annual. Lexington Munching on Main Tour with Two Gals and a Fork
On Saturday from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in downtown Lexington, you can eat at five top local restaurants and learn local history from JR Fennel of the Lexington County Museum with Two Gals and a Fork Food Tours. Pond Branch Car and Truck Show in Gilbert
The Annual Pond Branch Car and Truck Show is on Saturday, March 14, from noon to 4 p.m. Jean Cable, organizer for the event, said they still need vendors. There is a $15 dollar fee, and vendors must provide their own table and chairs. There is a $20 dollar registration fee for vehicles, and proceeds will be used to help the community. Registration begins at 11 a.m., and trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place entries. A BBQ chicken plate fundraiser will also be available. Plates are $15 and consist of chicken quarters, three sides, and all plates include rolls and a beverage. This event will be held at 1704 Pond Branch Rd. in Gilbert. Savage Salsa Sunday
On Sunday, at Savage Craft Ale Works, located at 430 Center St. in West Columbia, from 3 to 7 p.m., is Savage Salsa Sunday. This event happens every third Sunday of the month. According to Capital City Lake Murray, salsa lessons start at 3 p.m., followed by hours of Latin dance music. “No partner is needed and the event is family friendly.” Admission is $7 for adults and free for children under 14. “Savage Salsa Sunday provides an opportunity to meet people, learn the basics of salsa, improve coordination, stay active, and enjoy Latin dance music. Finlay Fridays at Finlay Park
On Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Finlay Park, located at 896 Blanding St. in Columbia, is Finlay Friday. “The City of Columbia’s Finlay Park presents Finlay Fridays, a live outdoor concert series happening every Friday evening from February 20 through October 30, 2026,” according to the Capital City Lake Murray event listing. “Open to the public, the series brings live music, food, and drinks to the heart of downtown Columbia — the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Performances take place from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and feature a variety of local and regional artists throughout the season.” March 14 will feature live music Slim Pickens.

St. Pat’s in Five Points is on Saturday, March 14, in Five Points in Columbia from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Called the largest one-day festival in the Southeast, this event starts off with a family fun run at 7:30 a.m. Gates open for festival goers at 10 a.m., and the parade starts at 10 a.m. Pot O’ Gold Playland is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; national, regional and local bands perform on various stages from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Learn more at stpatscolumbia.com.

Irmo Cherry Blossom Festival, March 21
The 9th Annual Irmo Cherry Blossom Festival is on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Irmo Town Park. “This year's event promises to be even more vibrant and engaging, continuing the tradition of honoring the beauty, fragility and preciousness of life, as embodied by the delicate and transient cherry blossoms,” according to a press release. “Last year's festival saw beautiful weather and a remarkable turnout, with an estimated 3,000 attendees from across North and South Carolina. Plans for this year include a diverse array of activities including food trucks, a Japanese Import Car Drive-In, a cosplay contest, presentations about kimono and washi paper making, a variety of vendors showcasing Japanese traditional and popular culture, popular and traditional songs, and a special performance of Japanese festival drumming.” This event also honors Japanese culture, ensuring attendees have plenty of opportunities to learn about Japanese food, history and art. “The Irmo Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual event celebrating the beauty of cherry blossoms and the rich culture of Japan,” according to the press release. “It features a variety of activities, including car shows, cosplay contests, cultural performances, and educational booths.
