Concert at Icehouse Amphitheater
On Thursday, April 16, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Sam & Illia will be performing at Lexington’s Icehouse Amphitheater, located at 107 West Main St. in downtown Lexington. The event is free to attend. “Based out of Columbia, SC, Sam & Illia are a soul, pop, and rock band and acoustic duo known for their rich harmonies and genre-blending style. Meeting Street Music Fest is on April 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on April 18 from 3 to 9 p.m. on Meeting Street in West Columbia. “This two-day event features eleven sensational bands playing a variety of music genres,” according to the event website. “It's the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in live music, enjoy delicious food and beverages, and enjoy endless fun. Concert and ceremony at Icehouse Amphitheater
On Friday, April 17, at 5:30 p.m., 20 Ride will be performing at Lexington’s Icehouse Amphitheater, located at 107 West Main St. in downtown Lexington. The event will also feature national recording artist Rob Crosby, as well as a special induction ceremony by the S.C. Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame. 12,000 Year History Park tour
On Sunday at 2 p.m., you can tour the 12,000 Year History Park on Congaree Creek in Cayce. “Tour the Congaree Creek Civil War battlefield! Sherman's army will have 45 firefights with Confederate forces between January 1, 1865 and the capture of Columbia on February 17. The battle at Congaree Creek will be among the 3 largest battles involving Sherman's forces during this time frame. Join us as we walk the battlefield and visit the earthworks, learn about the strategies and tactics used by both sides as Sherman marched through South Carolina on his way to Columbia,” according to a Facebook post on the event. Meet at the entrance to the park just beyond the Cayce Tennis Center. The park is located at 1120 Fort Congaree Trail in Cayce. There is free parking at the dirt lot to the left past the tennis center. Tours are nearly two miles long and will take about two hours. Tours are free and sponsored by the City of Cayce. On Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Savage Craft Ale Works, located at 430 Center St. in West Columbia, is Savage Salsa Sunday. “This family-friendly event will be inside the Savage Craft event center with plenty of seating and room to dance,” according to the event description. “In our 30-minute class, you’ll learn the basics of a dance you’ll enjoy for a lifetime! On Friday, there will be a public art unveiling at the corner of Lincoln and Taylor streets at 11 a.m. “The Congaree Vista Guild, One Columbia for Arts and Culture and the City of Columbia are unveiling the Vista's newest public art piece. The piece, Kaleidoscope of Columbia, is by local artist Maria DeFelice. Join us at the corner of Taylor and Lincoln Streets Friday morning and meet the artist, Maria DeFelice,” according to the event listing. On Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Finlay Park, located at 896 Blanding St. in Columbia, is Finlay Friday. “The City of Columbia’s Finlay Park presents Finlay Fridays, a live outdoor concert series happening every Friday evening from February 20 through October 30, 2026,” according to the Capital City Lake Murray event listing. “Open to the public, the series brings live music, food, and drinks to the heart of downtown Columbia — the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Performances take place from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and feature a variety of local and regional artists throughout the season.” April 17 will feature AP & Soulful Touche.

Historic homes tour
Locals can get an inside look at four private, historic Lexington-area homes during a tour happening on Saturday, April 25, from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets for the historic homes tour, organized by Friends of the Lexington County Museum, are on sale now. Tickets are $60 per person, or $100 per couple, and can be purchased through lexingtoncountymuseum.org. This event will take attendees inside the 1855 Henry A. Meetze House, the 1905 George Tillman Graham House, the 1895 C.E. Corley House and the 1890 Dantzler Harman House. The tour will conclude with a tea reception at the historic Palmetto Collegiate Institute, located at 104 Hendrix St. in Lexington. On Friday, April 24, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Moore Park, located at 7473 Church St. in Irmo, is Fleetwood Mac Night. This is a free event. “The Irmo Town Limits Concert Series is officially BACK, and we’re kicking things off with the legendary sounds of Fleetwood Mac,” according to the event listing. “Local favorites Sam & Illia are taking the stage to bring you all the hits for a night of magic under the stars.
