Hollow Creek Distillery in the Leesville area of Lexington County invites you to one of its weekly tasting events. An Evening of Vino & Vinyl
Chayz Lounge at 607 Meeting St. in West Columbia is hosting an Evening of Vino & Vinyl on Friday, with no cover charge and doors opening at 6 p.m. “Step into an evening that feels like an elegant living room filled with soul, conversation, and the soft crackle of timeless records,” according to chayzlounge.com. “Vino & Vinyl invites you to slow down and savor the simple pleasure of music played the way it was meant to be heard. Chayz Lounge at 607 Meeting St. in West Columbia is hosting Violinist JaVonne Jones on Saturday, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and showtime starting at 8 p.m. “Join electric violinist JaVonne Jones for a soulful musical journey through the iconic sounds of the 80s and 90s, with powerful renditions of hits by the likes of Tony! Riverbanks Zoo & Garden (500 Wildlife Pkwy.) invites you and the kids to enjoy Wild Lights on Jan. 8, 9, 10 or 11, the last dates of the 2025-26 holiday season. “Take a walk through the zoo and check out more than 60 larger-than-life handcrafted wildlife lantern displays inspired by nature,” according to riverbanks.org. Wild Lights runs from 5 to 9 p.m. and admission is $20.99.

Winter Jam
Winter Jam 2026 will bring you some of the biggest names in Christian music on Friday night. The 2026 lineup includes Chris Tomlin, Matthew West, Katy Nichole, Hulvey, Disciple, Emerson Day, Newsong and speaker Zane Black, with a Pre-Jam Party featuring Jeremy Rosado, Heath Brothers and Cliff Preston, according to coloniallifearena.com. No tickets are required for the event but attendees can give a “$15 donation at the door.” Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m. at 801 Lincoln Street, Colonial Life Arena.

Central Carolina Comic Con
Fans of comics, film, TV, anime, gaming and more are invited to the South Carolina State Fairgrounds on Jan. 10 and 11 for Central Carolina Comic Con. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at 1200 Rosewood Dr. in Columbia, fans can partake in many different activities catered to their interests. According to Capital City Lake Murray Country, “attendees can explore: Meet-and-greet celebrity guests from movies, television, and genre entertainment; Autograph and photo-op sessions with stars; Engaging fan panels and Q&A sessions on comics, storytelling, fandom culture, and creative industries; A bustling vendor and artist hall featuring comics, collectibles, original artwork, and merchandise; Cosplay contest and parade, where fans show off their costumes and craftsmanship; Interactive workshops and demonstrations on cosplay making, writing, illustration, prop building, and more; Gaming rooms and tabletop zones for video game, board game, and card game fans; Special displays and meet-ups from local and regional fan clubs and community groups.” Fans of all ages are welcome. “Kids under 10 enter free when accompanied by a paying adult (limit 2 kids per paying adult).
