Concert at Icehouse Amphitheater
On Thursday from 6:30 to 9 p.m., THE CATALINAS will be performing at Lexington’s Icehouse Amphitheater, located at 107 West Main St. in downtown Lexington. The event is free to attend. “Performing across the Southeast since 1957, THE CATALINAS are known for their tight, energetic sound, legendary horn section, and crowd-pleasing mix of beach music, soul, funk, R&B, and pop – from ‘Summertime’s Calling Me’ to Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang, The Temptations, and more,” according to the venue’s website. This event is the first in the Icehouse Live Spring Concert Series, presented by Lexington Health. Learn more at icehouseamphitheater.com. 

Friday and Saturday April 3-4

Easter egg hunt at Clinton Sease Farm
On Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Clinton Sease Farm in Lexington (382 Olde Farm Rd.) will be hosting Easter egg hunts. Entry closes at 10:15 a.m., so guests should arrive by 10 a.m. to avoid missing the start of the hunt. Meet at the Big Tower. The farm closes at 1 p.m. Children ages 2 to 10 can participate. Egg hunter admission tickets are $18 each, while non-egg hunters’ tickets are $10 each. Egg hunters’ tickets include participation in the hunt and a gift, while all tickets allow access to the cow train, wagon rides, bubble mania, playground, obstacle course, photos with the bunny and more. Saturday, April 4

12,000 Year History Park tour
On Saturday at 1 p.m., you can tour the 12,000 Year History Park on Congaree Creek in Cayce. “Tour the Congaree Creek Civil War battlefield! Sherman's army will have 45 firefights with Confederate forces between January 1, 1865 and the capture of Columbia on February 17. The battle at Congaree Creek will be among the 3 largest battles involving Sherman's forces during this time frame. Join us as we walk the battlefield and visit the earthworks, learn about the strategies and tactics used by both sides as Sherman marched through South Carolina on his way to Columbia,” according to a Facebook post on the event. Meet at the entrance to the park just beyond the Cayce Tennis Center. The park is located at 1120 Fort Congaree Trail in Cayce. There is free parking at the dirt lot to the left past the tennis center. Tours are nearly two miles long and will take about two hours. Tours are free and sponsored by the City of Cayce. Magic show at Virginia Hylton Park
On Wednesday from 10 to 11:15 a.m. at Virginia Hylton Park (111 Maiden Ln.) is a free event for kids. “Join us at Lexington’s beautiful Virginia Hylton Park for a magical morning with Tim Sonefelt and his amazing kids’ magic show at the Azalea Amphitheater,” according to the town’s website. “The amphitheater is located behind the splash pads, near the koi pond.” Bring a blanket to sit on!

Thursday, April 2

First Thursday on Main
On Thursday at 6 p.m. in downtown Columbia, First Thursday on Main will showcase Columbia's arts and culture scene. "On the first Thursday of each month, we celebrate the thriving arts and culture scene of downtown Columbia with musical acts, artist displays and performances," according to the event website. "Main Street merchants and businesses keep their doors open late, offering menu and drink specials, special events, and more. From the 1200 block all the way to the 1700 block, you’ll find a lively mix of art, music, food and drinks. ... Since 2009, thousands of people have joined in the festivities of First Thursday on Main." The Columbia Museum of Art, located at 1515 Main St., also celebrates with free admission and extended hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday, April 3

Finlay Fridays at Finlay Park
On Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Finlay Park, located at 896 Blanding St. in Columbia, is Finlay Friday. “The City of Columbia’s Finlay Park presents Finlay Fridays, a live outdoor concert series happening every Friday evening from February 20 through October 30, 2026,” according to the Capital City Lake Murray event listing. “Open to the public, the series brings live music, food, and drinks to the heart of downtown Columbia — the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Performances take place from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and feature a variety of local and regional artists throughout the season.” April 3 will feature The Morel Support Group.

Beyond in Lexington County 

Concert at Icehouse Amphitheater
On Thursday, April 9, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Bourbon Sons will be performing at Lexington’s Icehouse Amphitheater, located at 107 West Main St. in downtown Lexington. The event is free to attend. “This high-octane Carolina quartet blends traditional and modern country with classic rock flair, delivering powerhouse harmonies and southern charm. From Chris Stapleton to AC/DC, Bourbon Sons bring an expansive repertoire that keeps the crowd on their feet all night long,” according to the venue’s website. This event is part of the Icehouse Live Spring Concert Series, presented by Lexington Health. Learn more at icehouseamphitheater.com. 

14th Annual Herb Festival at the Lexington County Museum, April 11
A free event on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lexington County Museum will feature herbs, vegetables, baked goods, educational presentations and local vendors, according to Capital City Lake Murray Country. This rain-or-shine event is made possible by the Lexington County Herb Bunch, and the proceeds from the event will go towards a local student who plans to further their studies in agriculture and horticulture. For more information, contact the Lexington County Museum at 803-359-8369. The museum is located at 231 Fox St. in Lexington.

Strawberry picking at Clinton Sease Farm
On April 11, 25, May 9 and 23, you can pick strawberries at Clinton Sease Farm in Lexington (382 Olde Farm Rd.). These events are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission closes at noon, the last wagon ride to pick strawberries is at 12:15 p.m. and the farm closes at 1 p.m. Attendees ages 3 and older are $15 a ticket, while those younger get in free. Tickets include more than just the wagon ride and berry picking. Learn more at clintonseasefarm.com. “Strawberries, as an agricultural crop, are subject to the weather and growing conditions nature gives them.
