The Town of Irmo is hosting a chili cookoff at Moore Park on Jan. 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The proceeds will support McGregor Presbyterian Church’s Snack Pack program.
It is free for anyone to enter as a cook. All chili must be cooked and prepared on site. Set-up for the event will begin at 6 a.m. with chili being ready to eat at 11 a.m.
First through third place trophies will be awarded as well as a people’s choice award and a commander cup awarded to first responders, according to the press release.
The event is also free to enter for the public and there will be other vendors and activities at the cookoff as well.
