The Town of Lexington celebrated the graduation of its Inaugural Youth Ambassador Class. This group of high school seniors spent the past year learning about the inner workings of the local government.
Throughout the year, students were able to have a hands-on experience by engaging with local leaders, exploring town departments and taking a look at town operations. These students also participated in community initiatives.
The Town of Lexington celebrated their accomplishments as well as the bright future they represent.
“This program was designed to empower our youth with knowledge, leadership skills, and a sense of civic responsibility,” Mayor Hazel Livingston said. “We’re incredibly proud of this first class of ambassadors and look forward to seeing the positive impact they’ll continue to have in our community and beyond.”
