Steel Hands Brewing Nashville Nights Concert Series
The Nashville Nights Summer Concert Series will feature events at Cayce’s Steel Hands Brewing, located at 2350 Foreman St., this summer. “Experience the excitement of live country music at Nashville Nights, returning for its sixth season of summer entertainment. Hosted by Michael Haney and presented by Jim Hudson Audi, this popular concert series brings the energy and spirit of Music City to the Midlands with an evening of live performances and family-friendly fun,” according to the Capital City Lake Murray Country event listing. “Each Nashville Nights event kicks off with a Local Spotlight opener, showcasing talented regional musicians before the featured band takes the stage. This year’s series celebrates six years of unforgettable performances with six full bands, creating a lively atmosphere for country music fans of all ages.” The schedule is as follows: July 10, Slater Nalley; July 24, Highway Home; July 31, John Hollier & The Reverie; Aug. 7, Adam Chaffins; Aug. 14, Ben Chapman & Co.

Market at Icehouse
Market at Icehouse Amphitheater in downtown Lexington is on Saturday. Located at 107 W. Main St. in downtown Lexington, the market will be held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from May 16 through Sept. 26, excluding July 4. “The Market at Icehouse is primarily intended as a farmer/grower and local artisan market, utilizing a community-friendly atmosphere to promote, support and encourage local production while educating residents on the benefits of eating fresh produce and supporting local artists and the Certified SC program,” according to a statement on the town’s website.

12,000 Year History Park tour
On Saturday at 10 a.m., you can tour the 12,000 Year History Park on Congaree Creek in Cayce. “Tour the Congaree Creek Civil War battlefield! Sherman's army will have 45 firefights with Confederate forces between January 1, 1865 and the capture of Columbia on February 17. The battle at Congaree Creek will be among the 3 largest battles involving Sherman's forces during this time frame. Join us as we walk the battlefield and visit the earthworks, learn about the strategies and tactics used by both sides as Sherman marched through South Carolina on his way to Columbia,” according to a Facebook post on the event. Meet at the entrance to the park just beyond the Cayce Tennis Center. The park is located at 1120 Fort Congaree Trail in Cayce. There is free parking at the dirt lot to the left past the tennis center. Tours are nearly two miles long and will take about two hours. Tours are free and sponsored by the City of Cayce.
