Friday — June 23

Taylor Austin Dye (concert)
Head to the Skyline Club (100 Lee St. in West Columbia) for a performance by rising country singer/songwriter Taylor Austin Dye. Dye will play a two hour set starting at 10pm. Foodies Food & Culture Festival
The Barnyard Flea Market (4414 Augusta Rd.) is the site for the Foodies Food and Culture Fest, which runs June 23-25: “Discover the flavors of the world as you sample an array of cuisines from diverse cultures, all in one place. From savory to sweet, they have it all! Indulge in your favorite dishes and explore new tastes as you connect with people from all walks of life.” The festival begins at 1 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m. Admission is free. Carter Lybrand (concert)

Levi Lowrey (concert)
Steel Hands Brewing (2350 Foreman St. in Cayce) continues its Nashville Nights concert series with a performance by country singer-songwriter Levi Lowrey. Killer Beez & Friends (concert)
Enjoy an evening of classic rock and pop favorites at Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) as the Killer Beez take the stage. The band covers four decades of hits, and they’ll have some special guests on stage for this show, a fundraiser for the Garry Rozier for Sheriff campaign, begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25. Springdale Summerfest
Grab the kids and head over to Felton C. Benton Park (2915 Platt Springs Rd. ) for the Springdale Summerfest event. Enjoy a golf cart parade, free food and family entertainment, with a fireworks display to end the night. The family fun starts at 7 p.m., and this event is free to attend. Family Day
The Lexington County Museum (231 Fox St.) invites you and the family to attend its annual Family Day. This event will feature children’s activities such as playing with historic games and toys and learning about life during the colonial period in Lexington County. Children will get to learn about everyday activities in the colonial and antebellum period, such as indigo dyeing. Fishing Clinic
Need to brush up on your angling technique? The state Department of Natural Resources has got you covered. Head over to the Lexington Wildlife Chapter (3225 Emanuel Church Rd.) for a day of advice and tips from some of the best fishers around. The Market at Icehouse
Head over to the Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) for the Market At Icehouse: “The Town of Lexington Farmers Market is primarily intended as a farmer/grower and local artisans market that uses a community-friendly atmosphere to promote, support and encourage local production, while educating citizens on the benefits of eating local, fresh produce and supporting local artists and the Certified SC program.” The market is free to attend and runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes food trucks and live music. Secrets (concert)
Don’t miss the veteran American metalcore/post-hardcore band Secrets at New Brookland Tavern (122 State St. in West Columbia). The band is joined by For The Fallen Dreams, VRSTY and Nerv. Aunt Pearlie Sue (concert)
The Newberry Opera House (1201 McKibben St.) presents a performance by Anita Singleton-Prather, AKA Aunt Pearlie Sue, on June 23. Singleton-Prather is the founder and artistic director of the musical performance group Gullah Kinfolk Traveling Theater. Master storyteller, educator, and performer, Ms. Singleton-Prather will entertain and educate the citizens of Newberry about Gullah culture on the coast of South Carolina through her character Aunt Pearlie Sue. Dom Flemons (concert)
The Columbia Museum of Art (1515 Main St.) concludes season two of its More Than Rhythm concert-and-conversation series with a performance by Dom Flemons on June 23. The Grammy-award-winning Flemons is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, actor, music scholar, historian, and record collector. Flemons and series host Dr. Birgitta Johnson will have an hour-long conversation starting at 7 p.m., and Flemons will perform at 8 p.m. The show is free to attend. American Bulge
The Comedy House (2768 Decker Blvd. in Columbia) changes things upJune 24 with a non-comedy performance. Welcome the red-hot American Bulge male dance revue to Columbia. Miss South Carolina Pageant
