You should vote. And you should be informed when you do.

The Lexington County Chronicle and the Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center hope to help in this regard when it comes to the race for three at-large seats on the Lexington County School District 1 Board of Trustees, which have drawn 11 candidates.

Together with the chamber, we will host a candidate forum Oct. 20 at the North Lake Community Learning Center (702 N. Lake Dr.). The forum will go from 5:45 to 8:15 p.m.

Feel free to let us know what questions you’d like to hear asked.

Running for the three seats are Harriet Coker, Richard Gehling, Aaron Granade, Dana Homesley, Katie McCown, Andrea Nazarenko, Nicholas Pizzuti, Mary Price, Chris Rice, Rhys Sage and Beth Shealy. The three highest vote-getters will win the seats, currently held by Dr. Kyle Guyton, Jada Garris and Timothy Oswald, who are leaving at the end of their current terms.

Before the Nov. 8 general election, early voting will be available Oct. 24-Nov. 5, Monday-Saturday at five locations in Lexington County.

The League of Women Voters held a Lexington 1 candidate forum earlier this week, which you can read about or watch.
