From the Editor: Get ready to vote for ‘Lexington’s Best’

Posted

Chronicle readers seem to like quite a lot about Lexington County, and they’re not afraid to let you know about it.

During the nominations phase of the paper’s 2023 Lexington’s Best contest, our readers submitted nearly 40,000 nominations in more than 300 categories spanning the county’s businesses, professionals, restaurants, community institutions and more.

And now, with the top five finalists in each category moving on to the voting round, it’s time for you to make your voice heard once again.

From March 23 to April 20, you can go to lexingtonchronicle.com/lexingtonsbest and cast one vote per day in each category. The top vote-getter in each category will be listed among Lexington’s Best in a special publication that will be inserted into the Chronicle and our free weekly publication, The Wrapper.

Last year, 4,671 people cast 52,403 votes, and I’m willing to bet you can beat that mark based on the impressive numbers we saw during this year’s nominations period.

We hope you vote early and often to help us celebrate all the great things Lexington County has to offer — and, as ever, we hope it gets you and your community talking about the things that make you love where you live and how it might continue to get better.
