The Lexington Wildcats erased an early 14-0 deficit to defeat rival River Bluff 35-21. The win improves the Wildcats to 2-0 in region play and ties them with White Knoll for first place in Region IV-5A. The loss drops the Gators to 0-2 in region play.

River Bluff got two early scores on a touchdown pass from Parker Murray to Aaron Griffin and a touchdown rush by Jacob Pinkney. But the 14-0 lead didn’t last as touchdown rushes by Christian Sexton, Matt McAulay and Cam Morris gave Lexington a 21-14 lead at the beginning of the third quarter.

Pinkney scored again in the third quarter but touchdown rushes from Lexington quarterback Taiden Mines and Sexton put the game away at 35-21.
