The Gatlic Group, a Lexington-based merchant services and business solutions company, has announced a new chapter in its leadership as founder Steven Morris transitions from the business and Marq-Anthony Morris becomes managing partner and the public face of the company.

Founded by Steven Morris in 2006, The Gatlic Group started with a simple goal: to make payment processing easier for business owners by being honest and transparent.

As Steven Morris moves on from the company, officials said the transition marks both a continuation of The Gatlic Group’s foundation and a forward-looking step into its next stage of growth.

“Building The Gatlic Group has been one of the great privileges of my career,” said Steven Morris. “This company was created to give business owners a better, more transparent experience with payment processing and business solutions. I am proud of what we have built, and I am confident Marq-Anthony Morris is the right person to lead The Gatlic Group into its next chapter.”

In his role as managing partner, Marq-Anthony Morris will lead the company’s public presence, client relationships and ongoing growth strategy, overseeing both the South Carolina and Orlando, Florida, operations.
