A man has been charged with felony Boating Under the Influence after a 68-year-old man was killed on Lake Murray Sept. 21.

Tracy Gordon, 53, is charged with 3 counts of felony BUI after the boat he was driving hit a pontoon boat.

Stanley Virgil Kiser, 68, of Cheryse Court, Chapin, was the driver of a pontoon boat that was struck by another boat. Kiser died at the scene.

An autopsy indicated that the cause of death was due to multiple massive blunt force traumas to the head and torso.

Kiser's wife and daughter were also injured.

The incident occurred around 9 pm Saturday night near 1925 Johnson Marina Road, Chapin.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department and SC Department of Natural Resources are investigating the incident.

Gordon had a bond hearing Sept. 27. His bond was set at $100,000.

A Columbia judge told Gordon that if he pays bond, he must have ankle monitoring and can't go on a boat or have any contact with the victims, WLTX news reported.
